First Day Of Spring

Hopefully the first day of spring the sun is shining, the sky is VERY blue and the blossom on the plum trees - this one, which is outside my kitchen window produces green, or white plums and we also have red ones in the garden - has suddenly burst forth. Spring has sprung!

The spring equinox and the fall equinox are the two days in the year when the hours of daylight and darkness are exactly equal.
There are 12 hours of each. From March 20 or 21 until the longest day of the year on June 21 or 22, the nights will grow shorter and shorter.I love spring,its my favorite time of year,it doesnt seem to last very long,but its a of time of peace for me.I love the smell of blooming flowers,fresh cut lawns,and just sitting outside and enjoying the
cool breeze in the late afternoon.
